U vs Binacional match preview

by J.P. Devetori

Universitario is back after international break and we are squaring off against Binacional in match day 15 and kickoff will be at 1:15pm Peru time (2:15pm Atlantic, 11:15am Pacific). The U is seeking to win 4 in a row while Binacional had their 3 match win streak snapped by Sporting Cristal ten days ago. This is a crucial match for both clubs since the U is fighting for a spot in the Copa Libertadores 2022 while Binacional is fighting to stay away from relegation. Notable absences for Universitario coming into this match are Aldo Corzo, Federico Alonso, Alberto ‘Chiquitin’ Quintero, and Enzo Gutierrez.

All Universitario needs to do is simple: pick up where we left off. Ever since Gregorio Perez arrived, the strategic and tactical decisions has been improved such as avoiding early mistakes, playing smart and using the right players to start and sub in. Using the same strategy from the past 3 wins is beneficial for the club to deploy especially against Binacional who have been struggling all year. The U must also let Binacional do all the mistakes so we can capitalize on all of them and let them do the fouling (they are prone to foul and get card once they fall behind).
