Universitario will wrap up their 2022 season in Cajamarca vs UTC. In what was a rocky and difficult year, Universitario qualified to the 2023 Copa Sudamericana on Monday vs Huancayo. With a CONMEBOL tournament qualification complete and nothing to fight for as well as UTC, both clubs will play their final match today while the rest wrap up their 2022 seasons tomorrow and Sunday.
The roster has some key absences such as Alexander Succar, Luis Urruti, Aldo Corzo and ‘Chiquitin’ Quintero. All 4 absences is very critical into Carlos Compagnucci’s lineup decision today. Possible starting XI would be: Carvallo (GK), Cabanillas, Alonso, Quina, and Guzman (DF), Murrugarra, Quispe, Novick, Guivin (MF), Polo, Larios (FW). Subs should be Yacob and whoever is available since the roster is extremely limited today with so many key stars out for today.
UTC was struggling in the Apertura but they turned things around in the Clausura and managed to avoid relegation. They managed to beat Carlos Manucci on the road and they will also seek to finish 2022 strong at home.
Today’s matchup is a must win for both clubs since they want to finish 2022 strong. After a up and down year, Universitario are the ones who want to finish strong. Y DALE U!
