Celebrating the 70th anniversary of Estadio Teodoro Lolo Fernandez, Universitario and Colectivo USA partnered to renovate and open “Rinconcito de Lolo“, a restaurant inside the Estadio Lolo Fernandez. Colectivo USA, a USA & Canada-based non-profit NGO, helped made this project happen. The organization’s CEO is Eileen Olaechea.

Universitario chairman Jean Ferrari was present at the 70 anniversary ceremonies. Alongside him was Colectivo USA member Alfredo Cisneros to help unveil the plaque with the names of the contributors who helped made this project possible. Colectivo USA consists of Universitario fans from all over the U.S. and Canada including California, Utah, Texas, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia and Florida as well as Québec and British Columbia. The organization also sponsors the Universitario Futsal Down team.

Estadio Lolo Fernandez was the former home of Universitario from 1952 until 1999 when the club left for Estadio Monumental. Ever since the departure of the “U”, Estadio Lolo Fernandez currently serves as the home for the Universitario’s football academy and for the home matches for their youth teams. Now Universitario reserves players, coaches, and their families can enjoy having their meals inside the “Rinconcito de Lolo“!
